Simple Tofu: Air Fried

Ingredients:

I block of extra firm tofu

1-2 tablespoons of liquid aminos or soy sauce

1 teaspoon of olive oil

1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder (you could also use fresh)

Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Squeeze out tofu with hands, towel, or tofu press.
  2. Slice tofu into bite-sized chunks.
  3. In a shallow bowl or plate, place tofu and pour over liquid aminos, oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Use your hands to toss and make sure all the tofu is covered. 
  5. Allow to marinate 15 minutes (although you can skip this step)
  6. Preheat the air fryer or spray with cooking spray. This will helps prevent sticking the tofu to the pan.  
  7. Cook on french fry mode or 400 degrees for 18 minutes, give or take. 
  8. Make sure to shake every few minutes or so.
  9. Serve over rice bowls, salads, or just as a snack.
