Ingredients:
- 1 Cup of plant milk
- 2 eggs room temperature
- ½ cup of purified water
- ¼ cup of melted coconut oil
- ⅓ cup of raw honey or maple syrup
- ½ cup of brown rice sourdough starter that is fed
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 3 ¼ cups of Bobs Red Mill 1 to 1 Baking Flour
- 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
Method:
- Combine milk, eggs, water, oil, honey, sourdough starter together in a bowl.
- Add salt, flour, and flaxseed.
- Mix with either a wooden spoon or a mixer with the dough hook, until combined and a dough forms. It could take up to 5 minutes.
- Cover with plastic wrap or a towel for 6-8 hours or until it has risen. I keep this in a warm spot or on the stove if I am cooking something not too hot. You don’t want to kill your yeast.
- Once you have seen desired rising you will gently form 12 roll shapes with your hands. Place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment. Be gentle! Then cover again with a damp towel, place in a warm spot, and allow to rise two more hours.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
- Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown starts on top. This often depends on your oven and may require less or more.
- These are best enjoyed the day of with either jam, honey, or butter.
Let me know how these turn out for you and if you have any questions!
